The ongoing season of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2018) is heading towards the culmination of the league matches. There were some fine performances by world’s best players so far. However, some professionals have not been able to live up to the expectations. Thus, they have delivered mundane performances.

However, a lot was expected from these players but they have failed to deliver the goods.

Consequently, these ordinary performances from the players have played a hand in letting their team down.

As a result, some of these players were overlooked for selection in the playing XI.

Let take a look at Top Five Players who have Disappointed with their Performance:

5. Yuvraj Singh:

Yuvraj Singh has once again let down with his recent poor performances in the Indian Premier League (IPL). The talismanic batsman has struggled to find his timing going.

Furthermore, Yuvraj has only scored 64 runs in the five innings he played in this ongoing season.

Moreover, Yuvraj was also sloppy in the field. This dismal performance from the all-rounder forced Kings XI Punjab think-tank to drop him in the upcoming matches.

4. Glenn Maxwell:

Glenn Maxwell came up in this IPL with huge expectations on his shoulders. However, the Australian all-rounder failed to deliver the goods for the Delhi Daredevils (DD).

Men in Blue were reliant on the shoulders of Maxwell but the batsman wasn’t able to come up roses with his performances.

The power-hitter accumulated 142 runs in the 10 innings he played for Delhi franchise.

However, Maxwell took five wickets in the 10 matches he has thus far played for the team.

Delhi’s journey in the IPL 2018 has already ended but Maxwell will like to make up for his performances in the remaining matches.

3. Manish Pandey:

Manish Pandey was not able to repeat the performances of his previous seasons.

The right-hander has scored a solitary fifty in the ongoing edition.

Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) middle-order batsman has thus far scored 189 runs in the 10 innings he has played.

Pandey had done a good job while playing for the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) but he is not at the top of his game so far.

However, the right-hander will like to come back stronger with his performances in the upcoming imperative matches.

2. Washington Sundar:

Washington Sundar had done a fine job for the Rising Pune Supergiant (RPS) in the previous edition. Sundar had kept a tight grip on the proceedings in the last season.

However, the 18-year old off-spinner isn’t able to repeat his magic in the IPL 2018.

Sundar has played seven matches thus far in which he was able to scalp only four wickets.

Moreover, the young off-spinner went at an economy of 9.60. The southpaw batsman scored 65 runs in the six innings.

Thus, he is not finding his name in the regular playing XI of the Royal Challengers Bangalore.

1. Ben Stokes:

Ben Stokes was awarded the Most Valuable Player in the previous season. However, the England all-rounder has travelled a different route in this season.

Stokes failed to deliver with both the bat as well as the ball for Rajasthan Royals.

The English all-rounder has scalped only five wickets in the 11 innings he has bowled. Moreover, he has conceded runs at an economy of 8.72.

Furthermore, Stokes scored only 185 runs at a mere average of 16.81 in the 12 innings he has played. Thus, the talismanic all-rounder will like to strike back form in the remaining matches of edition eleven of IPL 2018.
