Here is Chennai Super Kings’ Predicted Playing XI
1. Shane Watson:
Shane Watson failed to score runs in the first game of the season. He registered a 10-ball duck to his name thus having a hard time at the crease. However, he made a good return by smashing it beautifully against Delhi Capitals. And once again, he failed against Mumbai. However, he would get one more sight.
2. Ambati Rayudu:

Ambati Rayudu batted sensibly in the low-scoring chase against Royal Challengers Bangalore. But failed to make things fall in place in the remaining games. However, he would once again hold the key at the top for the team with his finest strokeplay.
3. Suresh Raina:

Suresh Raina is their number 3 batsman and he would once again continue in the same role. He looked a lit bit of rusty in the first game but ensured Chennai Super Kings to reach the total with his handsome strokes. In the second game, he played altogether a different knock when the other batsmen are finding it tough to bat. In the previous game, Kieron Pollard’s stunner dismissed him.
4. Mahendra Singh Dhoni:

MS Dhoni hasn’t padded up in the 71-run chase at home ground. However, he batted sensibly against Delhi Capitals to shoulder his side to the victory. He got a decent record at M Chidambaram as well. Besides that, he is showing his aura as a captain of the ship, apart from the last game.
5. Kedar Jadhav:

The pocket dynamite delivered with the bat in the game against Royal Challengers Bangalore and Delhi. He smashed it brilliantly on a tough wicket with his unorthodox shots. MS Dhoni hasn’t used him in the bowling department but a handy option for his skipper.
6. Dwayne Bravo:

The Windies all-rounder wasn’t at his best against Mumbai Indians. However, he would like to make a successful return to the field. He got a little hamstring issue, but, he would be fine by Saturday afternoon.
7. Ravindra Jadeja:

The all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja was the star in the first game. He showed his brilliance in all departments of the game. First, he took a couple of scintillating catches and then followed it up by bagging wickets. However, he is yet to fire with the bat.
8. Deepak Chahar:

He hasn’t got any moment with the ball. However, he applied pressure on the other end to make things tough for the opposition. His pressure was one of the key factors behind other bowler’s success. But, of late, he is delivering superbly for the team.
9. Harbhajan Singh:

The veteran off-spinner did brilliantly at Chidambaram Stadium. He was the wrecker-in-chief, who collected man of the match trophy for his stunning spell. He dismissed top trio of RCB to make things fall in place for the team. Despite missing the last couple, he would return to the playing XI against KXIP.
10. Shardul Thakur:

Of late, he is failing on a regular basis. He is failing to pick wickets for the team and also leaking runs for the team. However, he would get one more chance to prove his mettle. In between, Mohit Sharma is waiting in his wings, who did reasonably well in the previous game.
11. Imran Tahir:

The veteran spinner has done brilliantly for the team in the first game. He rattled the defence of Royal batsmen with his masterful bowling. The Veteran spinner will once again be the key player to watch out in the contest.
Ratings:
Batting – 9/10
They haven’t got any concerns whatsoever. They got a blistering lineup to dismantle any kind of bowling attack in the tournament. They got floaters in the side and have a depth to make things fall in place. However, a little bit of problem with the form of openers.
Bowling – 8/10
Bowling looks a bit weak for the team or else, you can say fielding letting bowlers down. A lot will depend on Dwayne Bravo’s performance in the end overs of the game. However, when it comes to the spin department, they are a force to reckon with.
