The stalwart player, who played the IPL right from the first season might hang his boots after the conclusion of the upcoming season. He has been retained by Chennai Super Kings for IPL 2019, after the successful campaign in IPL 2018.

However, with age and fitness issues nearing, one might see him calling curtains on his career. The veteran off-spinner has played ten long years for Mumbai, and in the 11th edition, he moved to CSK.

It is pretty sad to see his name on the list, but yes, Gambhir might call curtains after the upcoming IPL edition. Winning a trophy for Delhi Daredevils has been a long-time dream for Gambhir, but unfortunately, he couldn’t make it so in the previous edition. It seems like he is never going to make as a player for Delhi Daredevils again.

They have released him from the side after the poor show in IPL 2018. It would be interesting to see whether Gautam gets any buyers for the upcoming edition. Going by his form, a few franchises might tempt to use his services for their side. But, most probably, this would be his final edition as a player.

3. Yuvraj Singh:

Yes, this could be the last edition for Yuvraj Singh if he gets the buyers this time, in IPL 2019. Yuvraj Singh had a poor IPL 2018, which made the franchise to release him. In fact, the greatest striker of the cricket ball had never really made his impact in the Indian Premier League even in his peak period as well.

Apart from his performances, Yuvraj Singh also declared that he would be retiring from the game of cricket if he doesn’t feature for team India in upcoming 2019 World Cup. Considering that, one might see him leaving the game after this season.

2. Shane Watson:

YES, the well-built Australian all-rounder could be calling curtains after the upcoming edition of IPL 2019. It would be pretty surprising to see his name on the list despite being pretty consistent in knocking the runs for his side across the globe. He has been the wrecker-in-chief when CSK knocked out SRH in IPL 2018 final as well.

However, the main concern with Shane Watson is his fitness. Though he can deliver, his fitness concerns would push him to hang his boots. Even in last year, MS Dhoni had to hide him on the field for his bad hammy.

Surprised? But again, yes, the one, who served all the taste buds of the cricket fanatics over the years might be playing his last season in Indian Premier League (IPL). Though he is knocking out centuries for fun in this format of the game, with age catching up, he would consider calling curtains on his career.

Meanwhile, Chris Gayle had got a last-minute buyer in the IPL 2018 when Preity Zinta bagged him for his base price of INR 2 Crores. However, he repaid them brilliantly by knocking it on a regular basis, which made them retain him for IPL 2019. However, this would be his last IPL season considering his age and fitness.
