It was an inspirational ride for Kolkata Knight Riders in the previous edition of IPL. However, this time, they have got the advantage with most of their players being from India. With a lot of foreign players expected to leave the tournament in the middle, KKR would like to get the advantage of it. Yes, Kolkata Knight Riders might go for his services. The fast bowler has got back to his best in the recent series for South Africa. He is in tremendous form and an experienced guy, something which Kolkata would like to bag.

Last year, KKR was short of a quality fast bowler in the side, which dented them dearly. Perhaps, he might be the one to make things sort out. With Starc and Johnson being out, they could ask Proteas star to deliver for KKR. To add a weight on his case, South Africans will be available for the whole tournament.

4. Shimron Hetmyer:

Kolkata Knight Riders might eye to bag the services of Windies flamboyant batsman, Shimron Hetmyer. He has got the unique ability to turn the game straight away with his stunning strokes. As far as the KKR batting lineup is concerned, most of their batsmen have been class players with Lynn and Russell taking the power-hitting role.

But, unfortunately, Lynn and Russell, are injury-prone players, which haunted them in previous editions. Well, going for Shimron Hetmyer could help them get the much-needed fire boost in the middle-order.

3. Jaydev Unadkat:

Jaydev Unadkat can be the bowler that KKR is looking for. Last year, they were troubled with the lack of variety in their fast bowling department. All of their bowlers have got the skills to deliver at a great pace but none of them can bowl those trickier deliveries to get the better of the batsmen in death overs.

Looking at that, KKR might bring in Unadkat into the mix. Being a left-handed bowler, Unadkat can easily fit in their plans and who knows, he could come up with a similar performance as in 2017 season.

2. Brendon McCullum:

It could be the return for Brendon McCullum to his first franchise. It was all where it started and he might reunite with his former franchise once again. With KKR asking Sunil Narine to open with Chris Lynn, they might go for Brendon McCullum, who can knock out the opposition on his day.

Besides, McCullum’s experience will come handy, as the unit is filled with young blood. Further, he has some good relation with KKR owner Shah Rukh Khan and also shares a good bond with their key players like Lynn and Sunil Narine.

1. Sam Curran:

Any surprises? Kolkata Knight Riders would eye to bag him for sure in the upcoming IPL edition. The all-rounder is in ominous form and can deliver the goods in both sections of the game. Not only KKR but also all the franchises are eyeing to bag him at any cost.

He brings the much-needed stability and the variety for the team in the upcoming edition. Well, with the age on Sam Curran’s side, the franchise would certainly like to bag his services for the years to come.
