In every edition of Indian Premier League (IPL), the auction part has always been the primary attraction for obvious reasons. Indeed, the upcoming version is also set to be an intriguing event with some exciting exclusions from the franchises. Meanwhile, we figured out five players, who might go unsold for IPL 2019 edition.

Here is the list:

The right-arm fast bowler from England might miss the upcoming twelfth edition of IPL. He was roped in by Delhi Daredevils (now Delhi Capitals) in the previous season but unfortunately, haven’t fared well enough for their side.

With England set to leave out the tournament from the middle of the edition, mostly, franchises might not avail his services.

4. Angelo Mathews:

The Sri Lankan legendary player might not be the part of IPL 2019. He was previously featured for Delhi Daredevils but never really delivered the required goods. Angelo Mathews went unsold in the previous edition as well. In addition, Mathews is having a few injury concerns, which certainly won’t benefit him during the IPL auctions.

3. Vinay Kumar:

The big name in the Indian domestic circuit might fail to get the buyer this time. He fared pretty poorly for Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in the previous edition, eventually missing out on a retained players’ list for IPL 2019.

Though Vinay Kumar can bat, his bowling performances hit low, as far as limited-overs are concerned.

2. Alex Hales:

The English star performer might go unsold in the upcoming edition. He was called as the replacement for David Warner in Sunrisers Hyderabad setup. But unfortunately,  he failed to fare better for the side. Once again, England players set to leave the tournament early, which would undoubtedly make his chances bleak for the upcoming season.

The stylish southpaw, who is the prince of Indian cricket might also end on the unsold players’ list. Yuvraj Singh had a great career in International cricket and got a huge fan-base on his side. But, he never fared well enough in the IPL circuit to press his case further.

Also, he failed to be among the run-scorers in IPL 2018, which left KXIP no choice rather than releasing him. Unless any strategy to attract fans, Yuvraj will mostly stay away from IPL 2019.
