Mumbai Indians (MI) all-rounder Kieron Pollard plucked on a one-handed stunner to dismiss Delhi Capitals (DC) skipper Shreyas Iyer during match four of 2019 edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.

Meanwhile, Mitchell McClenaghan provided the host team with a perfect start. He dismissed Prithvi Shaw in the second over to set the tone for the Mumbai Indians. Shikhar Dhawan, on the other end, played a waiting game to settle down on the Kotla pitch which had something to offer for the new ball bowlers. Shreyash Iyer; however, started to take on the Mumbai Indians bowlers to launch a counterattack against Mitchell McClenaghan. Soon he smacked two fours and one massive six to reach the double-digit mark.

During his short stay at the crease, Shreyas Iyer looked in wonderful before a stunner from Kieron Pollard got him out in the fourth over. However, this wasn’t a wicket-taking ball and all the credit goes to the big Caribbean. Mitchell McClenaghan pitched the ball up for the drive as Iyer couldn’t keep the shot down. The ball was travelling towards the extra cover region where Pollard plucks it out from nowhere diving to his right side.

McClenaghan completed his revenge as Shreyas Iyer looked utterly disappointed while going back to the pavilion.

With the dismissal of Shreyas Iyer, Delhi Capitals were striving at 29 for two. Since then, Shikhar Dhawan and Colin Ingram bailed the Capitals out with a steady partnership. However, Mumbai Indians bounced back dismissing the two set batsmen to nod ahead in the game.

While Delhi will look to post something around 180 runs, Mumbai’s aim will be to contain them for a smaller total and chase it down easily.
