IPL 2019: There Will be No Opening Ceremony - Vinod Rai

Supreme Court appointed Committee of Administrators chief Vinod Rai has revealed that there would no IPL ceremony in the upcoming season of the league. Instead, Rai has confirmed that the money reserved for the opening IPL ceremony will be donated to the families of recently martyred CRPF jawans.
In fact, the Board of Control for Cricket acting secretary Amitabh Chaudhary had recently claimed that Indian board must donate INR 5 crores for the families of victims. 44 CRPF jawans lost their lives in the brutal attack by the terrorists on 14th February.

BCCI to donate money to Pulwama Martyrs.
Since then the whole nation is in shock. In fact, the Board of Control for Cricket in India is mulling to boycott Pakistan from the upcoming World Cup.
“There will be no IPL opening ceremony. Instead, the money will be donated to Pulwama martyrs,” Vinod Rai said while talking to the media.
Thus, it is a noble gesture from Vinod Rai to help families of the jawans. In fact, former and current players have put their foot forward to provide financial help to the families of the martyred jawans.

On the other hand, Indian Premier League 12th season will begin from March 23. The first two weeks itinerary is also announced by the Indian board.
In fact, we know that the board spends a huge amount in the opening ceremony of the Indian Premier League. Furthermore, the BCCI has always spent a hefty amount in organizing the opening ceremony of the flamboyant league.
Indian Bollywood megastar generally performs at the big stage before the IPL commences. Meanwhile, the first match of the season will take place between reigning champions Chennai Super Kings and Royal Challengers Bangalore at Chepauk Stadium in Chennai on March 23.
