Veteran Australian pacer Brett Lee has stuck to what Ben Stokes, the Rajasthan Royals all-rounder had to say about young Indian pacer Kartik Tyagi. Kartik Tyagi made his IPL debut on Tuesday against Mumbai Indians (MI) in match 20 of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2020).
The young bowler from Uttar Pradesh represented India in the ICC Under-19 World Cup, held earlier this year in South Africa. He was one of the key reasons behind India’s glorious run in the tournament. Unfortunately, team India lost to Bangladesh in the final of the tournament. Tyagi was picked by Rajasthan Royals in the IPL 2020 auctions held in December 2019 and finally made his debut on Tuesday.
The bowler was impressive from the first go as he dismissed the in-form Mumbai Indians’ wicketkeeper, Quinton de Kock, in his very over of IPL.
Brett Lee Responds To Ben Stokes’ Comment On Kartik Tyagi
As soon as Ben Stokes saw Kartik Tyagi bowl, he couldn’t contain himself and the all-rounder took to Twitter to express his views about the young Indian pacer. He wrote, “Tyagi has a run up like Brett Lee and delivers like Ishant Sharma”. Fans were bewildered with Stokes’ comment as they didn’t know whether Stokes praised the Indian pacer or he took a sly dig at him.

Rajasthan Royals In All Sorts Of Trouble After The Game Against Mumbai Indians
Rajasthan Royals are now amidst a lot of trouble after their third consecutive defeat in the tournament so far. They lost their 5th game of the tournament against Mumbai Indians by 57 runs. The Royals of Rajasthan began the tournament on a high as they won both their opening games that were played at Sharjah.
The fans have brutally thrashed Rajasthan for not being able to perform in bigger grounds like Dubai and Abu Dhabi. However after the game, their skipper, Steve Smith said that the team isn’t bothered by the recent losses and will definitely look to bounce back in the tournament in their coming games. Next up, Rajasthan Royals will take on Delhi Capitals on October 9 at Sharjah.
