Losing both of their first two matches, SunRisers Hyderabad has made a horrific start to their IPL 2020 campaign. Needless to say, David Warner and his men have a monumental task in hand when they face an unbeaten Delhi Capitals side in their third match.

However, the Orange Army stands ahead of Delhi in their head-to-head count which comes as a glimmer of hope for the bottom-placed side. On the other hand, Delhi Capitals, led by Shreyas Iyer will be relying heavily on their bowling department, which has been fiery in the tournament thus far.

Here is a look at the SunRisers Hyderabad’s Predicted playing 11 ahead of their IPL 2020 encounter against Delhi Capitals:

With scores of 6 and 36 in the first two matches, the SunRisers Hyderabad skipper will be desperate to hit big this time. Though he created a base in the match against KKR, the attacking left-hander failed to make his inning count. Warner has been a tremendous performer over the years for the team and his form will be crucial in turning around the fortunes for the Sunrisers Hyderabad.

Jonny Bairstow will continue to open alongside Warner and will look to recreate the magic they have done in the past. The Englishman was instrumental in scoring a half-century in the first match but was clean bowled at a score of 5 in the second. Trevor Bayliss’ side will rely heavily on their opening duo for a sublime start against the Delhi Capitals.

Manish Pandey

Manish Pandey is the only batsman who has been among runs in both the matches and will hold his number 3 position. The 31-year-old right-hander staged a well-made half-century against the Kolkata Knight Riders but his efforts went to vain.

Wriddhiman Saha

The lanky wicket-keeper was brought into the picture in the match against KKR and is likely to retain his sport ahead of Vijay Shankar. Though Saha played a sluggish knock of 30 runs, the SunRisers Hyderabad dugout is well aware of his abilities as a T20 player.

Mohammad Nabi turned out to be a pretty useful customer against the Kolkata Knight Riders despite the loss. He was economical with the ball in hand giving away just 23 runs in his 4 overs. He managed to remain not out at a score of 11 of just 8 balls and can be tipped to play an essential role in his team’s performance against DC.

Abhishek Sharma is yet to make his presence felt in the IPL 2020 campaign. The match against KKR might well be his last chance before being dropped from the SunRisers Hyderabad’s playing XI.

Priyam Garg

After getting out for a score of 12 in the first match, Garg did not get a chance to bat in the second. Being a product of natural talent and grace, he has the capability to score big if backed well. The Uttar Pradesh Pradesh born batsman is unlikely to lose his spot yet.

Rashid Khan

Rashid Khan has been a product of the Indian Premier League and has proved to be a magnificent player for his team over the years. Yet to make a mark in this year’s IPL, the 22-year-old leg-spinner will be determined to get a few wickets under his belt this time around. His ability to clear the ground as a batsman cannot be ignored as well.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar

SunRisers Hyderabad’s strike bowler, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, is also a man the team will be relying on. Considering the fact that the unit’s bowling department hasn’t fired thus far, Bhuvi will have to step up and take the responsibility to get a few early wickets. While his performance was decent against the Royal Challengers Bangalore, he turned out to be costly against the Kolkata Knight Riders, giving away 29 runs in just 3 overs.

Khaleel Ahmed

Khaleel Ahmed got a wicket to his name in the second match against Kolkata Knight Riders. The India international is likely to be selected ahead of Sandeep Sharma, who failed to perform in the team’s opening match. However, Ahmed will be eager to prove himself against the Delhi Capitals in a bid to protect his spot.

T Natarajan

T Natarajan remains a constant in the team after picking up scalps in both the matches. While the left-arm quickie gave away 34 runs against the Royal Challengers Bangalore, his figures against the Kolkata Knight Riders stood as 3-27-1. He will rely heavily on his cutters and yorkers in order to make an impact.
