Sunrisers Hyderabad might suffer yet another big injury blow as their star man Manish Pandey walked off the field clutching his legs during the clash against Kolkata Knight Riders on Saturday (August 26).
Sunrisers Hyderabad lost the game by seven wickets to suffer their second defeat in a row in IPL 2020. It was yet another poor display from the batsmen as they failed to put up a big score after captain David Warner won the toss and elected to bat first.
The KKR bowlers led by Pat Cummins never really let the SRH batsmen off the hook as the 2016 champions finished the innings on 142 for 4. Manish Pandey was the top-scorer with the bat, scoring 51 off 38 balls with the help of three fours and two sixes. For KKR, Cummins starred with the ball, conceding just 19 runs off his four overs while picking up the wicket of Jonny Bairstow.

In reply, KKR rode on Shubman Gill’s brilliant unbeaten fifty to chase down the total with two overs remaining. At one stage, they were in a spot of bother after being reduced to 55 for 3 before Gill (70) and Eoin Morgan (42) shared an unbeaten stand of runs to take the team home.
And as if the defeat was not enough for the Sunrisers, Manish Pandey’s injury gave them another reason to worry about. In the 14th over of the match, he walked off the field holding the back side of his legs as it looked like he had suffered a hamstring injury.
The Sunrisers would be hoping that the injury is not serious and their batting star remains available for their next game which is against table-toppers Delhi Capitals on September 29. The Hyderabad-based franchise have already lost the services of Mitchell Marsh due to an ankle injury and had to rope in Jason Holder to replace the Australian.
