Guys stepped up when pressure was on Kyle Mills
Kyle Mills is highly impressed with the youngsters in the team and says that they have shown tough character throughout the tournament. The 41-year-old after the game talked about resilience in life and cricket. He observed that young Indian players like Mavi, Nagarkoti, and Chakravarthy had shown resilience in difficult times this season.
In a video uploaded on KKR’s social media, Kyle Mills said, “Resilient is the word which we can use across all facets of life. In cricket, the thing gets really tough and few guys really stood up today, the young lads Nagarkoti, Varun, Shivam Mavi playing some under the same condition.”
The former Kiwi pacer advised the youngsters to soak in the pressure and be resilient in testing times. He said that the guys had stepped up when the pressure was on.
“You guys stepped up when pressure was on and if cricket is the life, you need to hold onto that feeling and those emotions and know the fact that you get through tough situations where you need resilient to get through,” he added.
KKR ahead of Monday’s clash between Delhi and Bangalore sits at the fourth spot. If either team loses by a margin big enough to push its net run rate below that of Kolkata, the Eoin Morgan-led side will qualify on Monday itself. Otherwise, they have to hope for Mumbai to beat Hyderabad.
