IPL 2020: Match 23: Rajasthan Royals vs Delhi Capitals: Match Prediction

Delhi Capitals will lock horns with Rajasthan Royals in the 23rd match of the Dream11 IPL as yet another run-fest awaits us at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium on Friday.

Both sides couldn’t have more contrasting fortunes coming into this latest fixture. While Delhi Capitals are flying high courtesy back-to-back consecutive wins against Kolkata Knight Riders [by 18 runs] and Royal Challengers Bangalore [by 59 runs], Rajasthan Royals fortunes have nose-dived post their opening two wins in Sharjah.

The Shreyas Iyer-led franchise has looked one of the most balanced sides in the tournament thus far. As far as their batting is concerned, both their top-order and middle-order have contributed at different times while their bowling-unit- both spinners as well as fast bowlers- has been thoroughly professional thus far.

The same cannot be said about Rajasthan Royals though. Their middle-order was always going to be an issue and the repeated failures of their top-order, especially Sanju Samson and Steve Smith, in the last three games in Abu Dhabi and Dubai have only further exposed their fragilities.

The bowling unit too except for Jofra Archer has been lackluster thus far and it is set to further accentuate their cause, considering the fact that Sharjah is a graveyard for bowlers, thus making it even more important for their top-order to rise to the occasion on Friday.
