Kolkata Knight Riders will be desperate to get back to winning ways and keep their playoff hopes on track when they take on high-flying Delhi Capitals in the 42nd match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020.
With 5 wins from ten games, Kolkata Knight Riders are currently at the fourth spot in the points table. And while they are comparatively in a better place than the other four teams lying below them in the points table but a defeat today will make things tougher for them.
The two-time champions are yet to hit a consistent run in the ongoing season. In their last three games which they played under their new skipper Eoin Morgan, they lost two. Both the defeats were crushing ones as their batting failed miserably in both of them.
In their previous outing which was against RCB, Kolkata Knight Riders managed just 84 for 8 in 20 overs and lost the game by eight wickets. The Eoin Morgan-led side will be looking to deliver with the bat today and get back to winning ways.
Delhi Capitals, on the other hand, are all but sure of a place in the playoffs after winning 7 of their first ten games. A win today will take them to the top spot.
Delhi Capitals have won the toss and have decided to bowl first against Kolkata Knight Riders.
