IPL 2020: Match 5: Kolkata Knight Riders Vs Mumbai Indians: Match Prediction

Kolkata Knight Riders and Mumbai Indians will have contrasting objectives when they clash in Abu Dhabi in the fifth match of IPL 2020. Mumbai Indians suffered a chastening defeat in the opening game to Chennai Super Kings by five wickets. With 19 wins in 25 games against the Knight Riders, the defending champions will walk out with confidence.

Kolkata Knight Riders pretty much have a settled side ahead of their opener and the right mix of domestic and overseas cricketers to open their account in the first game itself. The likes of Shubman Gill, Nitish Rana, Dinesh Karthik, Kamlesh Nagarkoti, and Kuldeep Yadav seem as the first-choice picks. On the other hand, the four foreign cricketers are likely to be Sunil Narine, Andre Russell, Eoin Morgan, and Pat Cummins. Hence, their record against Mumbai Indians should not hold much relevance.

On the other hand, Mumbai Indians’ lower-order failed to come good against MS Dhoni’s Super Kings in the first game.
