Twitter was ecstatic on Sunday as Mumbai Indians (MI), the four-time IPL champions beat Delhi Capitals (DC) by 5 wickets in match 27 of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2020). This was Mumbai’s 5th win in the 7 games that they have played so far and Mumbai have now gone on top of the standings.

Mumbai Indians took on Delhi Capitals in match 27 of IPL 2020 at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi on Sunday. Winning the toss, Delhi Capitals elected to bat first. Ajinkya Rahane finally made his debut in IPL 2020 but couldn’t leave a mark against Mumbai. Shikhar Dhawan played a gritty knock and scored a half-century as Delhi finished on 162-4 in their 20 overs.

Mumbai Indians chased the target smoothly as Quinton de Kock and Suryakumar Yadav, their men in form, smashed yet another half-centuries and led the chase from the front.

Mumbai Indians have now once again dethroned Delhi Capitals on top of the IPL 2020 points table. The rat race between these two teams has been going on ever since the inception of the tournament this year. Both the teams have looked two of the most dominant sides in this year’s tournament and have gone on to dominate their opponents in almost all the games they have played so far.

Next up, Mumbai Indians will take on Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in match 32 of the 13th edition of the IPL. Delhi Capitals, on the other hand, will now be up against Rajasthan Royals (RR) in match 30 of IPL 2020 at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium.
