SunRisers Hyderabad jumped to the fourth position in the IPL 2020 points table by beating Royal Challengers Bangalore convincingly in Sharjah. SunRisers Hyderabad had to break a sweat barely in restricting the Royal Challengers to a below-par 120 on a dewy wicket as they chased down with five wickets to spare. The Orange Army’s net run-rate of +0.56 is the second-best in the current edition.

The Royal Challengers’ batsmen could not get going, including the likes of Virat Kohli and AB De Villiers as SRH skipper David Warner had clear plans set for them. Opener Josh Philippe was the top run-scorer for them with 32 off 31 deliveries as they scraped to 120 on a sluggish track. Sandeep Sharma, who claimed the wicket of Virat Kohli and got the man of the match award, was also the pick of the bowlers with figures of 4-0-20-2.

SunRisers Hyderabad lost David Warner in the second over itself; however, Wriddhiman Saha and Manish Pandey motored towards the target quite well. Yuzvendra Chahal did strike twice, removing the aforementioned batsmen; however, the total was too paltry to defend for Virat Kohli’s men. Jason Holder’s 10-ball 26 that consisted of three sixes took them home by five wickets in less than 15 overs.
