Rajasthan Royals (RR) captain Sanju Samson’s wife Charulatha took a dig at official Indian Premier League (IPL 2022) broadcasters Star Sports for a promotional post they made for the final of the tournament, which will be played between RR and Gujarat Titans (GT) on May 29, 2022, in Ahmedabad.

It is after 14 years that Rajasthan Royals have made it into the final of the IPL tournament. The team will be looking to win their first IPL title since 2008 when they lifted it in the very first season.

With this, he could become only the second RR captain to win the trophy. Sanju led his side well as he went on account for 444 runs at an average close to 30 and a strike rate of 147. Furthermore, he also led his side to 9 wins out of 14 matches.

Though RR’s batting has been dependent on Jos Buttler who has scored nearly 850 runs this season with 4 centuries and 3 half-centuries to his name.

The Sanju Samson-led squad are keen to win the trophy as a tribute to former captain Shane Warne, who led them to their maiden IPL title in 2008.

Wondered Why There Wasn’t Any Pink Jersey: Charulatha Slams Star Sports For Not Including Rajasthan Royals In IPL 2022 Promo

Meanwhile, in an interesting Instagram post, Sanju Samson’s wife Charulatha has taken a dig at IPL’s official broadcasters. Star Sports posted a photo before the big final between Rajasthan Royals and Gujarat Titans.

In a screenshot from an animation series produced by the broadcasters which showed the contenders for the season, Charulatha pointed out how there was no player in RR’s pink jersey, but it had Rohit Sharma and MS Dhoni of Mumbai and Chennai in front, respectively. It also shows RCB’s, Virat Kohli.

“Saw this animated video showing the race for IPL 2022 on the first day of IPL. And wondered why there wasn’t any pink jersey,” she posted in her Instagram story.
