Royal Challengers Bangalore head coach Daniel Vettori, batting and fielding coach Trent Woodhill and bowling coach Andrew McDonald have been sacked from the camp. Thus, the core of the franchise will get replaced.
Meanwhile, Ashish Nehra who had joined the franchise as a bowling mentor last year will continue with his job. On the other hand, the Mumbai Mirror has reported India’s batting coach Sanjay Bangar is on the radar of the franchise.
Royal Challengers Bangalore turns head towards new brains.
However, as per the conflict of the clause of the Committee of Administrators, Bangar cannot join hands with RCB till the time he is with the senior Indian team.
Meanwhile, India’s former coach Gary Kirsten who led India to the World Cup glory can take over the bridle of the head coach for the RCB.
Royal Challengers Bangalore is owned by Diageo and these team management changes are on the cards.
Furthermore, there will be a change in the administrative department, with Sanjeev Churiwala replacing previous boss Amrit Thomas.
RCB is yet to savour success in IPL.
Meanwhile, the red brigade is yet to win the IPL trophy even after having star-studded players. Virat Kohli led team had made it to the final of the tournament in 2016 in which they lost against Sunrisers Hyderabad.
In fact, it is not only Royal Challengers Bangalore who is contemplating to change its think tank. Kings XI Punjab head coach Brad Hodge can be also shown the exit doors.
RCB had failed to make the qualifiers in the eleventh season of the IPL as they won only six games. Thus, it has been a sad story for the Bangalore franchise so far in the Twenty20 tournament.
Daniel Vettori was former RCB player till 2013. He passed on the captaincy baton to Virat Kohli and has been the head coach since then.
