Ishant Sharma Reveals Whom He Would Love To Sledge

India’s lanky pacer Ishant Sharma has revealed who he would love to sledge on a cricket field. Ishant is a fearsome fast bowler of modern-day cricket and loves to get under the skin of the batsmen. And, it has been visible in the recent past.

Ishant’s speed and spot-on accuracy have helped him get through the ranks and revive his Test career. Further, he has emerged as one of the most improved fast bowlers in recent times for the Indian National Cricket Team.

Although Ishant is quite calm and composed on the field when he’s bowling, he never misses a chance to have some banter on the cricket field.

Ishant Sharma Makes Things Miserable For Batters At Times

Ishant recently opened up on certain aspects of his life on and off the field that were hidden from the masses for a long time now.

In an interview with Cricbuzz, Ishant was asked as to who he would love to sledge between Ricky Ponting and Steven Smith.

Ishant said, “Steven Smith is the one who I would love to sledge more than Ricky Ponting.” 

Both, Ponting and Smith are legends of the Australian Cricket Team and have contributed a lot to cricket in Australia, especially Test cricket.

Ishant Has Troubled Both Ricky Ponting And Steve Smith

Ishant troubled Ponting in 2008 in a career-defining spell against the Aussies at Perth. He bowled a superb spell to get rid off Australian skipper Ricky Ponting, who was one of the best batsmen Australia has ever produced.

During Australia’s tour to India in 2017, Ishant tried to get under the skin of Steven Smith. He mimicked Smith on the field and left everyone in splits. Even skipper Virat Kohli was amused by Ishant’s reactions and couldn’t hold back his laughter.
