It was a brilliant show by Virat Kohli and MS Dhoni in the second ODI of the 3-match series against Australia. The knock helped India to level the series scoreline 1-1. Meanwhile, Virat Kohli, in a candid chat with the leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal, revealed how calm it would be while batting with MS Dhoni at the other end of the crease.

Virat Kohli and Mahendra Singh Dhoni added an 82-run partnership for the fifth wicket in a mammoth chase. It helped India to balance the ship in a tough chase. Though Virat Kohli failed to stay in the middle, MS Dhoni completed the task.

MS Dhoni keeps calming down – Virat Kohli

The Indian skipper credited MS Dhoni for calming him down during his century knock in the 2nd ODI against Australia in Adelaide. The 30-year-old scored his 39th ton in the match, while Dhoni scored a brisk unbeaten fifty as India beat Australia by 6 wickets.

Appearing for the first time on fellow teammate Yuzvendra Chahal’s talk show ‘Chahal TV’, Kohli was asked how he kept his cool in the chase when the run rate was climbing up and wickets were going down.

“I think it is better to slow down the game at that point. It is important to rotate strikes. When a player like Mahi Bhai arrives, he communicates a lot. It helps a lot to discuss whether I should take a risk or not,” he said.

“He keeps calming down the player on the other end and keeps saying that there is a lot of time to go in the match. Hence, we bat together so well because we keep moving the scoreboard along, without too many risks,” Kohli further said.

Well, Virat Kohli is not the first person to reveal about MS Dhoni’s impact while playing in the middle. Meanwhile, Mahendra Singh Dhoni has finally struck the ball nicely and answered all his critics in a pretty decent way.

MS Dhoni is left with only a few games to get into his zone ahead of the ICC World Cup 2019/. So far, he has been really good by scoring fifties in both innings by batting at two different situations.
