IPL is important, but first-class cricket is pivotal – Jasprit Bumrah
Though everyone feels Bumrah is the product of IPL, he has been successful in domestic circuit as well. The flamboyant cricketer has bowled exceptionally in the domestic cricket, which helped him to make a way into Indian dressing room.
“IPL is important. but it is the combination of both. For me, first-class cricket has played a very big role. People have seen me only in the IPL so they don’t realise what I have done in first-class cricket. IPL brings you in the limelight but if you want to develop as a player you have to play first-class cricket,” he concluded.
However, it has been a great ride for Jasprit Bumrah in international cricket. Despite starting a bit shaky, he quickly learnt his faults and emerged out, as the number one bowler in the ICC ODI Bowler Rankings.
