Jimmy Neesham Trolls ICC For Their Virat Kohli Challenge
While there is no action going around at the moment because of the coronavirus pandemic, New Zealand allrounder Jimmy Neesham has made sure to keep the fans entertained with his timely dose of hilarious comments on social media platforms.
On Wednesday, he did it again and this time, the International Cricket Council (ICC) was in his firing line. The New Zealand star took a hilarious dig at the ICC after the governing body of the game took to Instagram to ask cricket lovers to spot the face of Indian team captain Virat Kohli in the sea of KL Rahuls.
The ICC attempted to trick cricket fans on the occasion of April Fool’s Day. “Can you spot Virat Kohli in this sea of KL Rahuls?,” wrote ICC while posting the picture.
As soon as the ICC posted the photo, Jimmy Neesham could not help but took a hilarious shot at them, writing: “You guys have really lost the plot”. KL Rahul also commented on the post with a laughing emoji.
Jimmy Neesham and KL Rahul were due to share the dressing room together for Kings XI Punjab in this year’s Indian Premier League. The thirteenth edition of the league was set to get underway on March 29. However, the BCCI had to suspend it till April 15 due to the coronavirus outbreak.
While the league is unlikely to start anytime soon, reports suggest that the BCCI is looking at other slots available this year to host the competition. The coronavirus outbreak has taken the world by storm, killing more than 38,000 people and the global count of infected people crossing 8 lakh.
Cricket events all across the world are currently suspended. The likes of India, New Zealand, Australia, Sri Lanka, Pakistan and other countries have called off their international and domestic events.
