New Zealand allrounder Jimmy Neesham could not stop himself from trolling his skipper Kane Williamson after the latter’s stunning knock against West Indies in the ongoing first Test at the Seddon Park, Hamilton.
Kane Williamson scored his third Test century to put the Black Caps in the driver’s seat. The right-handed batsman scored 251 off 412 balls with the help of 34 balls and a couple of sixes. It is now his highest score in Tests. The previous highest was the 242-run knock that came against Sri Lanka at Basin Reserve in 2015.
Kane Williamson’s other Test double ton came in Hamilton too against Bangladesh in February last year. Kane Williamson has a stunning record in Hamilton. He now has two double centuries and three tons at Seddon Park in 17 innings – all coming within his last 10 innings here.
As far as the match is concerned, New Zealand declared their innings on a mammoth total of 519 for 7. Tom Latham scored 86 at the top of the order before Kyle Jamieson scored an unbeaten fifty too to take his team’s score past the 500-run mark.
Jimmy Neesham trolls Kane Williamson:
While the cricketing fraternity was busy praising Kane Williamson for his batting masterclass, his teammate Jimmy Neesham decided to have some fun at his expense. And one can say that Kane Williamson was responsible for the trolling to a certain extent.
The New Zealand star celebrated his double century with a bizarre reaction on his face, as if it was no big deal. And the nonchalant reaction from him was enough for Jimmy Neesham to troll him as the New Zealand allrounder tweeted:
“Sorry guys I didn’t really want to do that but it’s my job so I kinda had to.”
