Jofra Archer is grabbing the headlines for all the right reasons in the Big Bash League. While the Barbados born youngster was relatively unknown Down-Under after being announced as a late replacement for English bowling all-rounder Tom Curran, he has earned the status of a cult hero among Hobart Hurricanes fans with his.

Well, the 22-year-old Jofra Archer who had represented West Indies in Under-19 cricket and is now plying his trade in English county has once grabbed the headlines with another stunning effort on the field. Archer, who has taken 13 wickets in the Big Bash League so far, pulled off a stunning run-out during the game against Adelaide Strikers on Thursday (January 14).

Strikers openers Alex Carey and Jake Weatherald had already added 171 runs for the first wicket before Jofra Archer broke the stand with a sensation effort. Archer bowled a yorker to Carey which was played towards the left of the bowler. The ball was looking primed to evade the bowler before Archer ran towards the ball and stopped it with one hand by a diving effort. In the meantime, Weatherald had set off for a single before seeing that Archer had stopped the ball. But by the time, the batsman could return to the crease, Archer turned back and threw the ball while still lying on the ground to disturb the furniture.

Archer went on to finish the innings with excellent figures of 3 for 27. However, his effort went in vain as Hurricanes lost the game by 11 runs while chasing 187.
