Fans Lashes Out at Australian Journo Who called Gautam Gambhir a 'Verbal Terrorist'

Indian fans lambasted Australian journalist Dennis Freedman, who recently called discarded India opener Gautam Gambhir, a ‘verbal terrorist’.

Meanwhile, Gambhir recently in an interview with Asian News International (ANI) called for boycotting Pakistanis. He said that India should not only boycott Pakistan from all cricketing activities but ban them from everything including the industries.

However, Gambhir is going through a bad patch with his new franchise Delhi Daredevils (DD).

Moreover, he recently stepped down from the captaincy after a dismal start to the Indian Premier League’s eleventh edition.

Shreyas Iyer took the responsibility and immediately shifted the momentum. He played a match-winning knock of 93 – to guide his team to the second win of the season.

Also, Gambhir didn’t feature in the playing XI as young Prithvi Shaw replaced him. Shaw grabbed his opportunity with both hands registering his debut fifty.

Meanwhile, Gambhir latest statement didn’t go well with Dennis and he was quick to take an offence. Known for his satirical blogs, the journalist took to the microblogging website Twitter to express his disgust.

“Gautam Gambhir is a verbal terrorist. The crap he said again today re relationship between India / Pakistan is dangerous,” Dennis tweeted.

However, the journalist comments draw the ire from the fans of Gautam Gambhir.

Meanwhile, the relation between the two neighbouring countries has stooped to a new low.

Recently, Shahid Afridi was the target of criticism for calling out on the human right violation in Kashmir.

The whole lot of Indian media and former cricketers took a dig at former Pakistan skipper and veteran all-rounder Afridi owing to the controversial tweet.
