Kane Williamson, Virat Kohli, Joe Root, and Steven Smith are the current four players from different nations who are considered as the modern-era greats in the game of cricket. Meanwhile, in the recent interaction, New Zealand skipper Kane Williamson revealed the shots he would want to borrow from the other three cricketers.

Steven Smith is currently serving a twelve-month ban from international cricket imposed by Cricket Australia. He had involved himself in a ball-tampering scandal in South Africa in March. On the other hand, there is presently a sort of battle going on between Kohli and Williamson over the first position in the ICC batting rankings. The Kiwi captain was instrumental in New Zealand‘s historic series win over Pakistan in the UAE recently while his Indian counterpart has been scoring runs away from home in the longest format of the game on a consistent basis.
In a recent interview with ESPNCricinfo, the right-hander applauded all the three cricketers from different nations. Williamson said that he loved the way Root reverse sweeps the ball against the spinners. On the other hand, he liked the shot that Smith smashed over the mid-wicket region. However, Kane had some unique words for Indian skipper Virat Kohli that all of his shots are favourites.
“Those three are all world-class players and all very different players. One of the most attractive things is that they are all different players, but very very effective. For Joe Root, I like how he reverse slaps bowlers. From Kohli, most of his shots would be nice to have. And Steve Smith, I like the way he hits the ball through the mid-wicket from any position,” Kane Williamson said.
