The 13th edition of IPL 2020 concluded not too long ago and there were memorable performances and faces from the tournament. The IPL has already become a breeding ground for youngsters and every year a plethora of them delivery burgeoning performances to make their cases strong for the national team. Former Indian skipper Kapil Dev has named left-arm seamer T Natarajan as his hero of the 13th edition.
T Natajran was outstanding for the SunRisers Hyderabad in IPL 2020, delivering pin-point yorkers consistently to trouble the best batsmen in the world. The left-arm seamer bowled the highest number of yorkers in the competition, unleashing over 40 as even reputed batsmen were bamboozled. He picked 16 wickets in as many matches at 31.50.

His performances in the extravaganza also earned him a call-up to the national team for the upcoming T20 series in Australia. The selectors decided to opt for Natarajan in place of leg-spinner Varun Chakravarthy, who could not travel down under due to injury. The 29-year old will team up with the likes of Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Shami, trying to refine his yorkers more and more.

World Cup-winning captain Kapil Dev lauded the left-arm seamer for his fearlessness while bowling the yorkers. The Haryana Hurricane believes that the yorker is not only the best ball today but even in the last 100 years.
“Natarajan was my hero of the IPL. Young boy was fearless and bowled so many yorkers. The yorker is the best ball, not only today but even in the last 100 years,” Dev said as quoted by Hindustan Times.
