India all-rounder Kedar Jadhav, who underwent a surgery after picking the hamstring injury, on Friday (July 20) revealed that he will return to training within two to three weeks.
Meanwhile, Jadhav sustained an injury in the Indian Premier League’s (IPL) season opener while playing for Chennai Super Kings (CSK). As a result, he missed the rest of the IPL games. But later on, he went to Melbourne to go under the knife.
“Rehab (rehabilitation) is good. Another maximum two-three week and I will be fit and start playing. I am allowed to bat now also, but because of rain, I am not able to. In two weeks I will start playing,” Jadhav told reporters.
“I am recovering faster than my expectation, so I am happy,” he added.

Furthermore, the all-rounder admitted that he suffered the injury on the same muscle for the third time. He also revealed that doctors suggested that a surgery will be a better option to sustain longer.
“Yes, it was a recurrent injury. Almost the third time, the same muscle sustained injury. So when it (injury) happens again and again yo have to find a confirm solution. The physios and doctors in India decided that surgery will give me a better option to play for a longer duration,” he added.

Jadhav also expressed his disappointment to miss the ongoing England tour and the eleventh edition of the IPL.
Kedar Jadhav also opened up on how difficult it was to get over the injury period.
“I will say it was a difficult three month period, but I feel I understood the importance of fitness. Injuries are a part of the game and we can’t do anything about it. Overall I gained knowledge about my body,” he concluded
