Badminton Star Kidambi Srikanth Excited To Watch IPL This Year

The cricketing fans all around the globe have finally received some positive news about the Indian Premier League (IPL) after months of waiting. The COVID-19 pandemic had put the 13th season of the IPL in serious doubt on whether it could take place this year. Nevertheless, the BCCI found a way to conduct it and badminton player Kidambi Srikanth expressed his excitement about it.

Due to the severity of the COVID-19 pandemic, the extravaganza cannot take place in India this year. Instead, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) will play as hosts for the tournament, slated to begin on the 19th of September till the 8th of November. Initially, the competition had to be postponed twice as the spread of the virus showed no signs of slowing down. Reportedly, the BCCI would have suffered a loss of 4000 crores had the cash-rich league not taken place.

Meanwhile, Kidambi Srikanth took to his official Twitter handle and expressed his exhilaration at the thought of watching IPL this year. He also explicitly mentioned seeing MS Dhoni take the field and do the exploits.
