West Indies National Cricket Team will lock horns against India in a three-match T20I series starting from December 6 (Friday) in Hyderabad. Ahead of the start of the series, skipper Kieron Pollard, who has vast experiences of playing in Indian conditions is hopeful of putting up a tough show against the formidable Indian team.

Meanwhile, the host has been on a mission in recent times winning back to back series since their exit from the semifinal clash in the ICC World Cup 2019. Soon after the World Cup, they defeated West Indies on their home soil, followed by victories against South Africa and Bangladesh. Thus, Virat Kohli & Co will be high on confidence going into the series with most of the senior fast bowlers back in the team as they continue to audition for the ICC T20 World Cup in Australia next year.

However, West Indies, who have been in India for more than a month now are trying every possible way to put up a great show. They had an exciting series against Afghanistan and has been training hard to put up a good fight against India. Skipper Kieron Pollard is hopeful of putting forward their best show despite agreeing to the fact that they will start as underdogs.

“We are coming up against a harder opposition, we would be the underdogs, and that’s fine, but then again it is about going out there and executing and believing in your talent, once you do that anything is possible,” ESPNcricinfo quoted Pollard saying.

“There are boxes which need to be ticked off, when you do that, most times you end up on the right side of the result,” he added.
