It came to the light day before yesterday that Mandeep Singh’s father had passed away; however, his brother denied the same. Unfortunately, the tragic event occurred last night and was confirmed eventually. Kings XI Punjab, led by KL Rahul, made an excellent gesture of wearing black armbands to honour their teammate’s late father.

Meanwhile, Mandeep Singh opened for Kings XI Punjab against SunRisers Hyderabad and has unfortunately lost his wicket as well. The right-handed batsman opened the innings in the absence of Mayank Agarwal and managed only 17 runs off the 14 deliveries he faced. The one-time finalist lost the toss and made two changes in the form of Mandeep Singh coming for Mayank Agarwal and swapping Chris Jordan for James Neesham.
