Kuldeep Yadav picked up the Man of The Match award for his brilliant three wickets. Yadav gave away just 42 runs in his ten overs proving his mettle in the most appropriate way. He removed the dangerous and experienced Upul Tharanga 5 runs short of a hundred which broke the Sri Lankan momentum. Niroshan Dickwella and Akila Dananjaya were Kuldeep’s other two wickets as the bowler put up a performance to remember.
Speaking about the same in the presentation ceremony, Yadav said that he is elated with his performance which helped the team in the middle overs when they needed the most. He labelled the wicket as a spin friendly one and mentioned that all of this is the result of his immense hard work.
“Obviously their batsmen were set and we knew needed wickets in the middle overs and the plan worked out for me. The wicket is good for spin and it’s just a preparation that matters. Whenever you don’t play you practice and work hard on your fitness and when you get a chance you try and put up your best performance.” said an ecstatic Kuldeep Yadav.
