List Of Players Sold In Mumbai T20 League

The auction for the inaugural edition of Mumbai T20 league took place yesterday (February 3) in Mumbai.

Many of the star players went for a big price while an international player like Shardul Thakur could not bag a contract.

Ajinkya Rahane and Suryakumar Yadav were the top buys in the auction.

Both the players went for an amount of Rs 7 Lakh to Mumbai North and Mumbai North East, respectively.

Rohit Sharma, the captain of Indian cricket team for Nidahas Trophy, was sold to Mumbai North West for Rs 6 Lakh.

The young likes of Shreyas Iyer and Prithvi Shaw were sold for Rs 5,00,000 and Rs 2,80,000, respectively.

They are currently playing Deodhar Trophy.

Former IPL star, Paul Valthaty, also got a buyer in the auction.

He was sold to Mumbai South Central for an amount of Rs 50,000.

Former India all-rounder Abhishek Nayar, who is yet to announce his retirement, was sold for Rs 4,00,000 to Mumbai South.

Apart from the star players, the backroom staff of all the teams is also star-studded.

Likes of Amol Muzumdar, Balwinder Singh Sandhu, Lalchand Rajput, Sameer Dighe and Vinod Kambli are the art of various teams in Mumbai T20 league.

Players like Iqbal Abdullah and Bhavin Thakkar were also sold during the auction.

It is to be noted that they both switched their base to Kerala before 2016/17 season.

They are currently serving the cooling-off period to be eligible to play for Mumbai again.

Valthaty was also sold during the auction, which means that he is eligible to play for Mumbai, presently or in the coming season.

The inaugural edition of Mumbai T20 league will be played from Mach 11 to 21 at Wankhede Stadium.

Sachin Tendulkar is the brand ambassador of the league.
