LSG vs RCB: Twitterverse Left Disappointed As Virat Kohli Falls For A Golden Duck Against Lucknow Super Giants

Virat Kohli’s bad run of form continued and got worse as he fell for a golden duck in the 32nd match of the IPL 2022 between Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) at the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai on April 19, 2022.

It is a crunch match for both the teams as the winner of this encounter can move to the top spot in the IPL 2022 points table. Therefore, the toss was important and it resulted in LSG captain KL Rahul winning it and choosing to bowl first. LSG went in unchanged from their last game and so did RCB.

Dushmantha Chameera bowled the first over of the match and though Anuj Rawat hit him for a four on the 4th ball of the over, Chameera hit back by dismissing Rawat the very next ball, as he was caught at the mid-off by KL Rahul and he had to walk off for 4 runs.

However, the biggest blow came on the next ball as Chameera’s speed and the bounce he managed to get from the surface surprised the out of form Virat Kohli, who walked into bat at no.3 and the length ball outside off was enticing enough for Kohli to play a cut shot, but he couldn’t keep the ball down and Deepak Hooda took the easy catch that was offered to him.

Bad Form Continues For Virat Kohli

Kohli has managed to pass the 20-run mark in 6 matches in IPL 2022 only twice, once when he made 41* against PBKS and then when he was out LBW for 48 runs against Mumbai Indians. Otherwise, his scores read as 12 vs KKR, 5 vs RR, 1 vs CSK, and 12 vs DC in their last match.

This was enough for the Twitterati to groan and be disappointed and they shared their reactions on the social media site.
