During a rapid-fire question answer round with The Quint, Chahal went on to reveal certain secrets of his cricketing life. He also revealed that former skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni calls him ‘Tilli’ and always gives him a suggestion on what to bowl by reading the mind of the batsmen.
Moreover, the Haryana-based leg-spinner has been a consistent wicket-taker for the side ever since breaking into the team. He picked both limited-overs formats when asked which format he loves to play more. Chahal has been a star performer in the IPL.
However, he prefers to play Ranji Trophy more than the Indian Premier League (IPL). He was also asked whether he likes playing in India or abroad.
In reply, Chahal said having the home crowd and the support always makes him prefer home conditions.
The promising bowler Chahal revealed it is the passion in Virat Kohli which he likes the most.
During the interaction, he also disclosed the fact that he was never a gym lover. It is with the time that he has realized that hitting the gym is important in modern cricket. He referred to Rajma Rice as the food which he can never stop thinking about.

Chahal further revealed that he is never on a strict diet and loves eating everything. His favourite is butter chicken.
The leg-spinner always had aspirations to serve the country. Hence, when asked what he would have been had he not been a cricketer, Chahal revealed he would have liked to be an army officer. The national anthem ahead of any match still gives him goosebumps.
He further revealed the name of Rohit Sharma as the cricketer whom he goes to take advice from when he is in trouble. Hardik Pandya, KL Rahul are Chahal’s 3:00 AM buddy along with Rohit.
Yuzvendra Chahal bagged his best figures in international cricket back in 2016 in a Twenty20 International against England. He bagged a six-wicket haul and described it as the most favourite moment in his cricketing career so far.
During the conversation, Chahal further went on to reveal that he has started playing gold from a few days.
In leisure time he loves playing FIFA on the play station with his teammates and essentially Mahendra Singh Dhoni has backed him a lot.
