Manish Pandey made up for a dropped catch earlier in the day and a rare misfield that allowed Hardik Pandya a boundary in Sandeep Sharma’s second spell with an absolute ripper of a catch off Ishan Kishan in the 15th over to once again display why he is one of the best Indian fielder of the modern era.

It all happened in the 15th over of the Mumbai Indians innings during the ongoing fixture against SunRisers Hyderabad in Sharjah. Ishan Kishan, who was once again looking at his flamboyant best, would consider himself highly unlucky there as he had lofted the length-ball by Sandeep Sharma brilliantly towards the long-on boundary.

Kishan [31 off 23 balls] would have expected the ball to sail over but Manish Pandey had other plans. After having misfielded earlier in the over, Pandey wanted to make amends and he did that disdain as he quickly covered his ground before unleashing a full-fledged dive to take one of the great outfield catches of the ongoing edition of the IPL.

Kishan’s wicket came in the immediate aftermath of Quinton de Kock’s dismissal after the southpaw fell to Rashid Khan due to a mistimed stroke, one that was safely gobbled by the bowler. Ishan Kishan and Quinton de Kock 78-run-stand for the 3rd wicket after Mumbai Indians lost early wickets of skipper Rohit Sharma [6] and Suryakumar Yadav [27 off 18 balls]. It will now be up to the dynamic duo of Hardik Pandya [22 not-out off 13] and Kieron Pollard to emulate their exploits of the last game and take to MI past the 200-run-mark.
