Susmita Roy Tiwary, wife of Bengal star Manoj Tiwary, has slammed trolls after coming across a derogatory post for her husband. Manoj Tiwary is one of those unlucky cricketers who did not really get too many chances to prove himself. He is one of the most consistent batsmen in the domestic circuit for over a decade now but has not really been that lucky when it comes to international cricket.
He last played for India in 2015 and is unlikely to get another recall. The right-handed batsman was mysteriously dropped from the team for months right after he scored his maiden ODI hundred in 2011. In the next four years, he managed to play just six ODIs before falling out of favour.
That was not the first time, he received a setback in his career. Days before his scheduled ODI debut against Bangladesh in 2007, the Bengal cricketer injured his shoulder and was sidelined. He then made his debut in 2008 and was bowled by Brett Lee for just 2. Tiwary had to wait nearly three years for his second match in the 50-over format.
But while his international career is completely off the track now, he has continued to impress in the domestic circuit. In the last season of Ranji Trophy, he scored 707 runs in 11 matches including a triple ton to help Bengal reach the final of the tournament.
Susmita Roy Tiwary lashes out:
Sushmita, nonetheless, was furious to see her husband’s name in a post named Team India’s Flop Cricketers XI. She could not control her anger and lashed out at it, writing:
“Who so ever created dis profile How dare u bloody dragged my husband’s name in it. U better do ur bloody facts check. Do something in ur shit ugly life rather dan posting shit about people. Go n get a life ???”
