Mumbai Cricket Association’s (MCA) video analyst Saurabh Walkar has landed in hot waters after being blacklisted by the cricket association. He has now been barred from participation in any competition that is organised under the MCA jurisdiction. The immediate repercussion is that he would not be a part of the  T20 Mumbai league. MCA reportedly took the decision after discovering that Saurabh Walker left Mumbai team in January to join the Pakistan Super League (PSL).

According to Pune Mirror, Walkar is yet to receive an official letter. However, an official from MCA has told the news outlet that the association would not allow Walkar’s involvement in the T20 Mumbai League. The official said that the MCA is still not sure about whether Walkar joined PSL. However, he did confirm that the video analyst had left the team midway through the season. He also confirmed that Walkar had not sought any NOC from the board.

“That is right, he left us midway through the season. We don’t know if he has joined the PSL but if he had he should have taken an NOC from us,” the MCA official said.

Walkar, a qualified electronics engineer, was with the Mumbai team for around a decade. He started his stint  since the time the likes of Sachin Tendulkar and Wasim Jaffer plied their trades. The report further claimed that Walker has refused to comment on the issue. However, sources close to him did confirm that he had travelled to Dubai although after informing at least a couple of elected MCA authorities. At the same time, the source also said that there was no need for any NOC.
