Watch: Mitchell Starc, Marnus Labuschagne Clash Ahead Of India Series As Pacer Hits Batsman With Bouncer Before Giving Him Run-out Warning

Mitchell Starc and Marnus Labuschagne will share the dressing room in a few days when Australia lock horns against India but it has not stopped the pacer from giving the batsman a tough time in the ongoing Sheffield Shield clash between New South Wales and Queensland.
Mitchell Starc stepped up his preparation for the home summer against India by returning to Australia’s first-class competition. The left-arm pacer was rested for New South Wales’ opening Sheffield Shield match against Western Australia. And the left-arm pacer took some time before making a mark in the domestic circuit.
He got his first wicket of the game in the 47th over of the match when he sent back out-of-favour Australia batsman Matt Renshaw for just 8. But before taking the wicket, Mitchell Starc did make his presence feel by bowling a vicious bouncer to Labuschagne.
On the final ball of the 27th over, he hit Labuschagne on his arm with a well-directed short ball. Coming from around the wicket, the Australia pace spearhead bowled an angled delivery and Labuschagne could only take his eyes off the ball before being hit on his arm.
It was the last ball before lunch and Labuschagne walked off straightaway without any reaction. The duo clashed again in the 49th over when Mitchell Starc warned Labuschagne about not leaving the crease before the delivery was bowled.
Before bowling the fifth ball of the over, Mitchell Starc pulled up from his run-up and asked his Australia teammate to remain inside the crease. It was followed an exchange of words between the two as Labuschagne was not at all impressed with the pacer’s action.
Here are both the clips:
