MS Dhoni looked rusty in IPL 2020. Dhoni was in the thick of things during the 2019 World Cup for his poor strike rate. He took an extended sabbatical after the marquee event and then announced his retirement from international cricket. The CSK captain however is certain to continue playing the IPL.

Their is no doubt that Dhoni is not at his usual best. He is not timing the ball to perfection. Former India wicket-keeper batsman Kiran More has questioned his fitness and said that will his body allow him to play in the coming years.

“It’s up to Dhoni how he feels – mentally and physically. Will his body allow him to play next year? Dhoni himself knows the answer better than others,” More told Times of India.

“It is totally Dhoni’s call (retiring from IPL). Age is just a number for Dhoni. Chris Gayle is 41 and he is doing really well. This is the biggest example before us. We shouldn’t doubt Dhoni’s abilities. If he wants to play, he will play. So, let’s leave it to him,” he added.
