MS Dhoni should be there for the 2019 World Cup – Robin Singh
The former all-rounder feels none of the youngsters has stamped their authority in the absence of Dhoni. Thus, he asks MS Dhoni to be present in his fourth ICC World Cup to help team India bag the trophy.
Further, Robin termed team India is one of the front-runners to win the Trophy. However, he also feels England has got decent chances to lift their maiden 50-over World Cup.
“Dhoni should be there (at World Cup). Those who were given opportunities have not stamped their authority,” Singh told Sports 360. India is one of the front-runners. England is a very good side, they have been playing very good cricket. In their conditions, they are extremely good.”
“I don’t think we are depending too much on Kohli. We have enough batting to take Indian cricket forward. We won the Asia Cup in the UAE without Virat. Obviously, he is a superstar, but it is crucial that we also guide the young guys. The team’s chances are very good, they have a good chance of beating Australia,” he added.
However, it seems like Robin Singh has got the valid point in his kitty. With none of the other youngsters showing their charm, the obvious best choice available for team India is MS Dhoni. Other than batting, MS Dhoni’s presence will do a world of good for the team during the pressure-filled 2019 World Cup.
