MS Dhoni Plays Badminton To Maintain His Fitness Leval After CSK Call Off Training Camps

A million fans all over the globe have to wait a little bit more to witness Mahendra Singh Dhoni take the field after a long time. The former Indian captain last played competitive cricket in July as he hit a fifty in a losing cause against New Zealand in the semi-final in Manchester. Due to the Coronavirus outbreak, not only franchises’ training camps stand cancelled, but also the thirteenth season of the Indian Premier League is postponed. Amid the cancellation of the training sessions, CSK captain Dhoni spent his time productively.

MS Dhoni is one of the fittest cricketers on the planet. He is best known for his brisk running between the wickets and power-hitting abilities that also makes Dhoni one of the most valuable players. After the announcement of the pre-tournament sessions getting discarded, the 38-year old played Badminton to maintain his fitness level. He was seen playing Badminton in his track pants in Ranchi, the video of which was posted on Twitter.

Earlier Chennai Super Kings’ official account on Twitter in which he was spotted signing autographs and posing for selfies. The video was posted and captioned as “It has become your home, sir!’ Keep whistling, as #Thala Dhoni bids a short adieu to #AnbuDen.”

MS Dhoni has been with the Chennai Super Kings ever since the inception of the tournament in 2008. He has captained the franchise in all the editions, having led them to playoffs in every single one of them. Additionally, Chennai has also lifted the trophy three times under his leadership and finished as runners-up on five occasions.
