In Pics - MS Dhoni Attends Salman Khan's Birthday Bash in Mumbai
It was a busy Tuesday (December 26) for Mahendra Singh Dhoni. The former India skipper was just relieved of his cricketing commitments on Sunday after the last T20 International against Sri Lanka but he, by no means, got the chance to relax, as he attended two high-profile parties.
First, the World Cup-winning skipper attended the much-awaited Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma’s wedding reception in Mumbai. Kohli and Anushka had hosted the second of their wedding receptions at St Regis’ Astor Ballroom. The gala occasion was then attended by a host of stars from cricket and Bollywood. Dhoni attended the party with his wife, Sakshi and daughter Ziva.

Meanwhile, Dhoni will get ample time to relax before he embarks on the tough tour of South Africa for the limited-overs series. Before the ODIs and T20Is, Virat Kohli & Co. will take on the Proteas in a three-match Test series which kick starts on January 5 in Cape Town.
Dhoni will be eyeing another strong showing in the tough conditions of South Africa. The keeper-batsman performed well in the recently-concluded series against Sri Lanka and backed by chief selector MSK Prasad and head coach Ravi Shastri to play at least till the 2019 World Cup.
“He is still one of the best around, not only in the Indian team but in the world. Some of the things you see with him are not sold in the market. You will not get it anywhere else,” Shastri recently said before adding: “The fact that he does not play Test cricket means he should be playing as much cricket as possible till the World Cup in 2019.”
