MS Dhoni Should Bat at Number Four in World Cup - Suresh Raina

India’s southpaw batsman Suresh Raina believes MS Dhoni should bat at the number four position in the upcoming World Cup. Dhoni currently bats at number five position in the batting line-up whereas Ambati Rayudu has delivered the goods at the much-talked-about number four position. Dhoni is back among the runs which is a big positive for the World Cup.
Dhoni was back at his best in the three-match series against Australia. The former skipper had scored 193 runs in the three matches in the ODI series. Dhoni scored three consecutive fifties in the series as he batted at the top of his game. Consequently, MS Dhoni was at awarded the Man of the series award.

Meanwhile, Dhoni was able to rotate the strike with more consistency on the tour of Australia. In fact, the wicketkeeper-batsman had struggled to get singles in 2018 as he could not find the gaps.
Raina believes Dhoni should bat at number four position in the upcoming ICC World Cup 2019. Dhoni has found his Midas Touch and he would like to continue with his good show.
Raina said while talking to Hindustan Times, “Dhoni has been batting really well and scoring runs. For me, I feel he is India’s number four for the World Cup.”
Meanwhile, MS Dhoni was able to take Chennai Super Kings to their third title in IPL 2018. Raina reckons the former captain is the best IPL skipper in the history of the league. The southpaw batsman added that he is looking forward to the upcoming season with all the zeal.

“It was amazing, God has been kind. We had played for almost 10 years (8 years) together and have had a lot of memories at CSK. We have the best captain in MS Dhoni and CSK is also the best franchise. The culture is really good in the team and the foreign players are also welcomed. I am really looking forward to the upcoming season of the Indian Premier League,” he said.
MS Dhoni has all the experience under his belt and he is going to be instrumental in the success of the team in the upcoming ODI showpiece. The gloveman is still fit as a fiddle and his quick glovework will also play a key part in India’s success.
The former skipper knows how to take control in crunch situations and he would like to deliver the goods in his final World Cup.
