MS Dhoni To Lead In Aakash Chopra's All-Time Best World T20 XI

The former Indian cricketer Aakash Chopra, who has made a name for himself through cricket commentary and analysis, has named his all-time Best World T20 XI on the social media platform. He has some big names in his eleven; most of them are the current era greats. The most successful skipper of India in limited-overs format will lead the team of Aakash Chopra’s T20 XI.

Chopra picked the stylish southpaw from West Indies Chris Gayle to open the innings of his team, who scored 13152 T20 runs across the globe. Joining Chris Gayle, it will be Australia’s David Warner, who will be opening the innings for his side. The flamboyant Australian smashed the ball at a strike rate of 142.3 in his career so far.

Virat Kohli to play at number 4 – Aakash Chopra

Surprisingly, he asked Rohit Sharma to bat at number 3 for his side. Aakash Chopra believes Rohit Sharma has the ability to make things fall in place with his blistering strike rate. In at number 4, he named the skipper of the Indian National Cricket Team Virat Kohli, followed by South Africa’s legendary batsman AB de Villiers.

The wicketkeeper-batsman of the team, who will also lead the team will be the former skipper of India MS Dhoni. He explained that MS Dhoni is a three-dimensional cricketer who can be a massive advantage for the team. Be it with his wicket-keeping skills or his finishing skills or his incredible captaincy, Aakash Chopra feels MS Dhoni is a must-have player in the team.

At number 7, he considered the likes of Kieron Pollard and Hardik Pandya but finally settled with Andre Russell. He believes Andre Russell has got the calibre to turn the tables for his side on any given day. Naming a spin-bowling all-rounder, he opted for Shahid Afridi, who had been a stalwart for Pakistan over the years and also performed exceptionally in franchise cricket across the globe.

Though he felt Sunil Narine presses his case, he settled with Shahid Afridi. The other spin bowler partnering Shahid Afridi with be Afghanistan’s, Rashid Khan. The young Afghani got the calibre to rattle the opposition with his incredible bowling. As far as the fast bowling department is concerned, he went with two blistering fast bowlers in the name of Lasith Malinga and Jasprit Bumrah.
