Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren has called for a farewell match for MS Dhoni after the former India skipper announced his retirement from international cricket on Saturday.

Known for his love to spring surprises, the Jharkhand stalwart surprised the cricket fraternity once again by bringing down curtains on his glorious career. However, Hemant Soren wants MS Dhoni to don the famous blue jersey of the Indian team one more time and play a farewell game. Moments after the legendary cricketer announced his decision, Mr Soren took to Twitter to express his desire of seeing MS Dhoni play for India one more time. He urged the BCCI to conduct the match in MS Dhoni’s hometown Ranchi.

“The man who gave the country and Jharkhand several moments of pride and joy has retired from international cricket today. We won’t be able to see Jharkhand’s beloved son Mahi in the blue jersey again,” wrote Soren before adding:

“However, the countrymen’s hearts are not filled yet. I believe there should be a farewell match for Mahi in Ranchi which will be witnessed by the entire world.

“I appeal to the BCCI to conduct a farewell match for Mahi,” he added.
