Mumbai have announced their 15-member squad for their first match against Baroda in the upcoming Ranji Trophy 2019-20; India’s premier domestic tournament. The most successful domestic side, Mumbai have named in-form batsman Suryakumar Yadav as their captain while the veteran wicket-keeper batsman Aditya Tare will work as his deputy.

Yadav had a forgetful experience the last time he led Mumbai during the 2014-15 season. He experienced a poor run and as a result, was removed from the leadership role midway in the season. Since then, Suryakumar Yadav has emerged as a mature cricketer, and his leadership abilities were applauded during Mumbai’s white-ball tournaments this season.
