New Zealand vs India 2020: 3rd ODI, Mount Maunganui – India’s Predicted Playing XI; Well, after a brilliant show in the shorter format of the game, the Indian National Cricket Team found themselves in a bizarre position after losing two in two at Hamilton and Auckland. Though they have already lost the series, the Virat Kohli-led side would like to avoid whitewash by winning the final game at Mount Maunganui on February 11.

Following a couple of losses, India might bring a few changes to the side with pride at stake. Maybe a chance for Shivam Dube or Manish Pandey?

Or else, will India stick to Kedar Jadhav? And, how about Rishabh Pant keeping the wickets and KL Rahul opening the game by dropping Shaw or Mayank?

Regarding the same, we predicted India’s playing XI for the final ODI game.

India’s Predicted Playing XI:

1. Mayank Agarwal:

Despite the failures in both the games, India might persist with Mayank Agarwal for the final game as well. And, this would be the ultimate chance for him to utilise in the absence of the regular openers.

He hasn’t had best of times with the bat in white-ball cricket but he would look to make things fall in place for the final game.

2. Prithvi Shaw:

Much like Agarwal, Prithvi Shaw also got starts but failed to make things happen. The flamboyant cricketer looked in pretty decent touch in both the games but failed to make them count.

The upcoming game would be a perfect platform for him to deliver with the bat.

3. Virat Kohli:

Surprisingly, the skipper has somewhat failed to deliver the match-winning knocks for the team in the recent past, especially in this tour.

Virat Kohli was cleaned up with incoming deliveries in both games. He would be eyeing to come good, as the loss means that Kohli would bag an unwanted record as the skipper.

4. Shreyas Iyer:

The Mumbaikar got an exceptional chance to win it for India in the second ODI.

But, soon after his fifty, Shreyas Iyer lost his concentration so does India’s hopes of winning the game. He is in best of his forms and would like to finish the series on high as a batsman.

5. KL Rahul:

He had one of the rare failures at Auckland. The flamboyant batsman was expected to take the mantle on his shoulders in the second game but unfortunately, failed to tackle Colin de Grandhomme.

The right-handed batsman might continue in the same role for the team despite the failure.

6. Shivam Dube:

It would be Kedar Jadhav, who will make a way for Shivam Dube.

Though Manish Pandey is in scintillating form, India might add Shivam Dube to the playing XI, as he can give an extra option as a bowler. It will be a big game for Dube if played.

7. Ravindra Jadeja:

The stylish southpaw has once shown what he is capable of doing. After his impressive spell with the ball, he stood like a warrior in the middle for his side with the bat.

But, unfortunately, he couldn’t see India passing the line.

8. Shardul Thakur:

He impressed one and all with his extraordinary skills on the other day against New Zealand. He started well with the ball before taking two wickets and later got rid of Martin Guptill with his brilliant throw.

Shardul Thakur also looked solid with the bat in the middle.

9. Navdeep Saini:

Much like Shardul Thakur, Navdeep Saini also looked brilliant with the ball and the bat in his hand. He almost helped India to seal the game but unfortunately, missed out in the end. Saini will once again get the nod.

10. Yuzvendra Chahal:

Yuzvendra Chahal proved why he must be a regular player in the Eleven. He gave the breakthroughs for India whenever the team wanted. He will once again take the field to trouble New Zealand with his quality spin.

11. Mohammed Shami:

It has been a tour to forget for Jasprit Bumrah. He might be replaced with Shami for the final game, as Jasprit Bumrah will also be the crucial player for India in Test format.

With two Test games on its way, Jasprit Bumrah might get a rest while Mohammed Shami will be in the action.
