West Indies batsman Nicholas Pooran, on Tuesday, announced that that he is engaged to his long-term partner Kathrina Miguel. The left-handed batsman also shared an adorable photograph of the moment when he got down on one knee to propose to his partner.

Both Nicholas Pooran and Kathrina were recently in the UAE for the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020 which came to an end last week. Kathrina was seen in the stands, cheering for her partner throughout the competition. Nicholas Pooran plied his trade for Kings XI Punjab.

Nicholas Pooran announced the news of his engagement on Instagram, writing:

“God has blessed us with a great blessing. I am glad to announce that @kathrina_miguel and I got engaged .?Love you Migz❤️ I got you ?”

Later, Kathrina also took to Instagram to post the same picture and wrote: “He has made everything beautiful in its time. Ecclesiastes 3:11. ?? Being loved by you is a blessing I thank God everyday for. Love you @nicholaspooran ❤️??”

Meanwhile, Pooran is currently in New Zealand with the West Indies squad for the T20I matches against the Black Caps. Following the end of the series in New Zealand, he will travel to Australia to play in the BBL for the very first time in his career.

Melbourne Stars have secured the services of the West Indies batting sensation  for the upcoming season. The left-handed batsman will ply his trade for the Melbourne-based outfit for only six matches.

He has not been named in West Indies’ Test squad but is likely to remain with the team after the T20 matches (November 27-30) to get some red-ball experience during the Test campaign. The Test series is scheduled to run until December 15. On the other hand, the new season of BBL is scheduled to start on December 10, meaning Nicholas Pooran will miss the initial stage of the tournament.
