The Tamil Nadu opening batsman, Murali Vijay, who recently got dropped from the national team makes his voice on the snub. He complains that there is no communication between him and the selectors ever since he got excluded from the Test side.

Owing to the poor run of form, Murali Vijay has been knocked out from the team on the England tour. However, he showed his quality by performing for Essex in the English county games.

None of them has spoken to me – Murali Vijay

The stylish opening batsman is disappointed with the selectors not having a proper chat with him. He wants to know the reasons behind his exclusion from the team and the way to make a comeback into the side for the future tours.

Murali Vijay also highlighted the point raised by Harbhajan Singh last week. He feels players should be given the clear idea on what basis they are getting ousted from the team and the things to do for the comeback.

”Neither the chief selector nor any other person spoke to me in England after I was dropped from the third Test. None of them has spoken to me since. I did have a conversation with the members of the team management in England and that’s it,” Murali Vijay said to Mumbai Mirror.

“Also, I agree with what Harbhajan Singh has said (on Tuesday) about the parameters of selection. I think it is important that a player is told about the reasons for keeping him out so that he knows where exactly he stands in the team management’ and selectors’ scheme of things,” he added.

“Right now I am looking forward to doing well for Tamil Nadu in the Vijay Hazare Trophy and Ranji Trophy. Have been in these situations before and made a comeback. I will be preparing for the Australia series too in my own manner. Further, I know the conditions there well, having scored close to 500 runs (482) during the 2014-15 series. I wish to be ready if the chance comes,” he inferred.

However, the chances look slim for Murali Vijay to make a comeback. Meanwhile, the Ranji Trophy and the tour to New Zealand A are the only chances where he needs to push the selectors with his performances.
